Mashed Banana With Tears

Sometimes it feels like energy has left my body altogether. Deep melancholia is making my chest feel very heavy. Blank tears of self pity – or alternatively, Weltschmertz (German, literally world-pain, also world weariness, pronounced /ˈvɛltʃmɛːts/) slowly make their way down my cheeks. This is the perfect time for a mashed banana, because I know that sugar will keep me going, allowing me to linger in this delicious state a little longer, before the day finally ends. Tears will add a delicate saltiness to round up this super sweet dessert and the smooth texture allows for easy swallowing despite that lump-in-the-throat feeling.

  • 1-2 banana(s)
  • Cinnamon
  • Tears

  1. Peel the banana
  2. Put some cinnamon on top
  3. Slowly mash with a fork
  4. Place the dish under your face as you mash, let a few tears drop into the mix
